Known locally and colloquially as ‘Millionaire’s Mile’ (it boasts arguably South Africa’s best real estate) the Atlantic Seaboard runs from the famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront along the coastline past Table Mountain and Lion’s Head, to the Twelve Apostles and all the way down the west of the Cape Peninsula to Hout Bay.
Along this stretch of coastline you’ll find perfect beaches (Clifton, Llandadno and Camps Bay are social summer hotspots, while smaller bays like Bakoven are loved by locals), multiple scenic mountain trails and experience technicolour sunsets. Aside from offering perfect sundowner locations and tanning spots however, there’s plenty on offer by way of activities – from skydiving, to paddle boarding and surfing (if you’re willing to brave the icy Atlantic).
It’s also home to some of Cape Town’s finest restaurants, hotels, cafes, boutiques and bars, drawing a consistent crowd year round of the city’s most glamorous, and celebrities from around the world.
