Chobe Savanna Lodge
Located on the Namibian side of the Chobe River, Chobe Savanna Lodge overlooks the vast Puka Flats floodplains.
The Chobe River flows along the northern border of Botswana in Chobe National Park. The river is a hive of activity specifically so during the dry season when wildlife journey in their numbers to drink, lounge and cool off in the blue waters of the Chobe River. With the diverse animal life, range of water-based activities, and beautiful scenery, Chobe National Park continues to be a popular safari destination for travelers.
Chobe Savanna Lodge is a smaller, water-based lodge that gives guests a sense of privacy and relaxation. The 13 thatched chalets including one family room are dotted across a lawn and shaded by tall trees. Each chalet comes with a private veranda and 270 degree views of the Chobe National Park. The main open air lounge and dining area also provide panoramic views. Due to the lodge being water based, it offers a range of aquatic activities including safari cruises, fishing, and cultural village tours on nearby islands. Bird watching excursions offer guests the opportunity to experience the 400+ species of bird that Chobe is home to.
“Chobe Savanna lodge is definitely a place for guests who would like a relaxing safari experience. Guests have the chance to take it easy and not be busy with activities all day. The river safari was of a very high standard and the sunrise and sunset from the boat was truly something special.
The chalets are nicely furnished and clean. The food was of a very good standard, and the service level overall was really great. The staff was very friendly and ready to help when needed. They made the extra effort with small things- like good morning messages inscribed in condiments during breakfast. When leaving, we were waved off by staff as they sang which left a touching last impression.”
