Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - 4: Shaba National Reserve, Kenya

Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by a Safari365 representative who will transfer you to Wilson airport in time for your morning flight to Chaffa Airstrip. On arrival at the airstrip you will transfer to your lodge in the Shaba National Reserve. Shaba National Reserve has a particular place in the history of Kenya game conservation, for it was in this reserve that the author and naturalist, Joy Adamson released the hand-raised leopards.

On your Kenyan safari trip, you will have exclusive access to this pristine and untouched corner of East Africa. Inspirational days will be spent exploring the surrounding forests, rolling hills, swamplands and vast African plains, inhabited by a variety of wildlife. Discerning guests interested in a glimpse of Kenyan history can visit the monument to Joy Adamson, or embark on an excursion to the magnificent Shaba Hill with its spectacular volcanic formations.

Day 4 - 7: Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast travel back to the airstrip in time for your 09h10 Safarilink flight to the Maasai Mara. On arrival at the Keekorok airstrip transfer to your camp situated in an untouched, exclusive concession in the Maasai Mara. Boasting a landscape that is quintessential East Africa, it is on this legendary terrain where the great Maasai Mara migration occurs, where over a million wildebeest and zebra brave the crocodiles of the Mara River, crossing over in search of fresh pastures.

Explore the wilderness of the Maasai Mara on game drives, accompanied by professional safari guides where you might see a pride of lions ready to make a run for a gazelle or a pair of ostriches walking across the open stretches of savannah. The Maasai Mara is also home to herds of elephant, buffalo, giraffe, jackal, cheetah, rhino, warthog, hippo, along with over 500 species of bird. When not game-viewing, soak up the luxurious comforts of your lodge, or visit a traditional Maasai village, where you'll be intrigued by Maasai customs and way of life.

Day 7 - 11: Lamu Archipelago

Following breakfast and a last game drive in the Masai Mara Game Reserve, transfer back to the airstrip in time for your 11h00 Safarilink flight to Wilson Airport. On arrival at Wilson connect with your 13h45 Safarilink flight to Lamu. At the Lamu airstrip transfer by boat to the resort situated on Manda Island. An epitome of tropical paradise with swaying palms, crystal blue waters and pristine white sand beaches, Manda Island offers barefoot luxury at its best and is the perfect finale to your thrilling Masai Mara safari.

Enjoy the simple pleasures of life on this exclusive and secluded island of Manda by soaking up the relaxing ambience with a rejuvenating massage or leisure stroll on the sandy beaches. For the more adventurous traveller, Manda Island offers a variety of exciting water sport activities, including snorkeling, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, boat trips, kayaking, windsurfing, wakeboarding, waterskiing and sailing with the dhow.

Day 11: Nairobi, Kenya

After a last day of enjoying the sun and the sea of the Kenyan coast, transfer back to the airstrip in time for your 16h00 Safarilink flight to Wilson Airport. Thereafter transfer JKIA in time for your international flight home.
