Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - 2: Arusha, Northern Tanzania

Travel to Arusha for a afternoon departure in a safari vehicle, passing through the Masai Steppe filled with many picturesque African villages as well as maize, coffee and banana plantations. At the town of Makuyuni travel North West and continue the journey up through a scenic escarpment, arriving at the lodge perched on the edge of the Rift Valley boasting stunning views over the distant Lake Manyara.

Day 2 - 3: Lake Manyara National Park

Breakfast is followed by a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, returning to the lodge for lunch. Leaving Lake Manyara behind, the journey continues North West across the stunning and hilly countryside of the highlands, filled with wheat and coffee plantations, and then into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Here lie the vast plains of the Serengeti, where game will be visible well before arrival in the park.

Day 3 - 4: Serengeti National Park

Enjoy a morning and afternoon of game drives through the majestic Serengeti National Park.

Day 4 - 5: Ngorongoro Crater

Enjoy breakfast before departure to Ngorongoro, travelling across the vast Serengeti plains dotted with a variety of game, and stopping off en route for a picnic lunch. Continue the journey to Ngorongoro, stop for a visit to a Masai Village before returning to the lodge, set high on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 5 - 6: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, descend with a picnic lunch through the early morning mists and 2,000 feet into the crater. Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest intact volcanic caldera. Due to its size and diversity, the crater floor is comprised of several distinct areas, ranging from forest, swamps, lakes and springs, to open grassland and some sandy dunes. It's an awesome wildlife experience - commonly referred to as the world's largest wildlife zoo. Lunch is served near a small lake filled with hippos. Continue game viewing on your return trip to the crater's rim and the lodge.

Day 6 - 7: Tarangire National Park

Departing Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast, travel south east en route to Lake Manyara, Mto wa Mbu village and Tarangire beyond. Through the highlands and the Karatu district, enjoy the scenic views of the wheat plains and coffee plantations before journeying down the spectacular escarpment before turning south on to the main Arusha - Dodoma road and into the park. Enjoy a game drive en route to the lodge. After lunch and perhaps a swim, the remainder of the afternoon will pass with a game drive.

Day 7 - 8: Zanzibar

Depart after breakfast and head northeast to Arusha arriving by Midday in time for lunch. Following lunch in Arusha, transfer to Arusha airport for the scheduled flight to Zanzibar. On arrival, expect a meet and greet, followed by a transfer to your hotel in the iconic Stone Town.

Day 8 - 11: Zanzibar

Transfer to the coast of gorgeous Zanzibar, where the next four days and three nights will be spent at leisure at one of the most popular resorts in Zanzibar. Sun, surf and stunning views - what more could you ask for?
