Hello Diane and thanks for your follow-up. We're glad to provide feedback. We didn't love the interminable speed bumps on the 6km of dirt road in Kruger which made us nervous about our car (Toyota Corolla with standard clearance) but that was more a result of experience with Avis Cape Town (see below). The flight from Victoria Falls was good, on time, and they had us confirmed (we'd been told on arrival it was overbooked so had re-confirmed at the airport and arrived to check in close to 11am). The only reservation we had was with Wild Horizons; they were great for the airport-hotel trip but for the return had promised us (by phone with the manager) an early transfer for the overbooked BA flight. They promised us 10.30 but it was 10.45 before the bus showed up. If they had told us the truth, we'd have paid for a taxi to get us there. Also the guide (Stanley) for the Falls tour just pointed us to viewing spots whilst other groups' guides were giving commentaries. It seemed to us that the similar company with offices a little away from reception at the hotel (I forget their name) had more informative guides and possibly better transfer service. Unrelated to your arrangements for us, but possible of use to you is feedback on Capetown Avis; we'd picked our car in Port Elizabeth and the manager there warned us to check the car over super-carefully as Capetown had a reputation of finding (costly) faults with cars turned in there. And they did with ours. We challenged that---not only did we have super insurance but we had been very careful with the car and routes we took and we used the names of management in PE in our challenge---which succeeded. Overall we had a great time. Loved the Garden Route (including the great Sedgefield market), Addo NP, West Coast National Park, wine country (and Tasting Room), your city (clear skies for our time on Table Mtn),Hermanus and Cape Agulhas. We also had a superb time---despite some of the roads--in Namibia. We had used a UK company to plan and book our self-drive time in Namibia and I would give your arrangements the edge over theirs. Very best personal regards and thanks for your help in giving us memorable time in Zimbabwe and S.Africa. Christine
