This year we started our expedition in the safari hub, Arusha, Tanzania. A few days were spent adjusting and visiting local attractions. Unforgettable highlights included working coffee plantation tours, Shanga Villlage (which offers incredible opportunities for Tanzania’s marginalised handicapped persons to be gainfully employed in arts such as glassblowing, beadwork and pottery) and the Arusha National Park. The following two weeks we visited over thirty lodges and hotels throughout the breath-taking Serengeti National Park, Masai Mara and the bustling city of Nairobi. Below is our feedback from our Serengeti and Masai Mara safari visits, as well as some pictures of our antics. Enjoy!
