Fantastic Trip and great agent planning! Chobe Game Lodge....although we were only here 20 hours we managed a game drive and early morning boat trip. The viewing (I think) was better than in Kruger although we only saw Rhinos and Leopards in Kruger. The boat trip in the AM was fantastic and the accomodations were first class.......A GREAT CHOICE! Vic Falls--Batonka---a very nice and quite boutique hotel. Friendly staff and great food. We had a great time in town at the The Three Monkeys. The falls were nice but because of dry season there wasn't as much water as we thought though we got some nice rainbow pix. Rovos---Spectacular. Basic room was very small and because of my size (6'4"). It was a little tight. The issues were the derailments of two separate trains ahead of us. Because of the time delay we got off in Messina and after 5 hours of buses we artived at the ORT airport in johannesburg. The decor and food was FABULOUS!!! And the train managers did EVERYTHING to help those out with flights and schedule issues. Cape Town---Boulders Beach, Cape Point, Cape of Good Hope and Table Mountain were great. Loved the V&A Waterfront. My friendly pick pocketer was the only downer. The folks at the Holiday Inn were FANTASTIC, especially Jason. Franschhoek--At Protea (Marriott)--Staff was great and Hussars was great for food. The first night we ate at Col cacchios---for pizza and wine. It was great. The wine tram was a blast. Kruger---Jock's was fantastic too. A great choice. The staff was friendly and the food was great. We combined resting and a few game drives and got to see more lions, leopards, hyenas, hippos, honey badger, jackal.
