Melissa du Toit
Melissa believes that travelling is the best education that a person can have, and helping her clients have unforgettable travel experiences is one of her true passions!
At the age of 21, Melissa spent two years living and working in London and exploring the UK. During her time in the UK, it was by lucky chance that she started working in travel and fell in love with the industry. After returning to South Africa, Melissa started her own backpackers which she oversaw for almost four years, before moving into retail travel.
Melissa now works in the African travel sector which allows her the opportunity to offer expert knowledge on destinations she knows well.
So many but if she had to narrow it down, Nepal would be her favourite, with the Okavango Delta in Botswana coming in as a close second.
Most Treasured Travel Experience:
In 2011, Melissa visited Australia. After long hours of traveling and delayed flights, she made it to Sydney and fell asleep on the train into town. When she woke up and opened her eyes, she saw the Sydney Opera House for the first time. It was something she had always wanted to see and there it was, right in front of her. A real goosebump-worthy moment!
