Africa Meets at World Travel Market 2017
From 19-21 April, Cape Town will play host to World Travel Market Africa 2017. Travel industry professionals from across the continent will flock to the Mother city for the business to business travel expo.
WTM Africa is one of 6 travel shows including London, Sau Paolo, Dubai, Penang and Cannes which feature the travel trends, products and businesses of each region. The Africa expo was launched in 2014 and has been growing each year since. In 2017, 550 exhibitors are expected with about 5000 attendees expected.
WTM Africa aims to promote investment in the future of African Tourism and this year’s line-up looks set to reach that aim. Following on from the success of last year, there will be a Travel Technology Show, Digital Hub and Buyers Lounge. Alongside the exhibits are a number of seminars and workshops hosted by travel industry experts. Topics range from conservation and tourism trends, to sustainable development and travel blogging.
Another pull for anyone in the travel industry will be seeing the winners of the 2017 African Responsible Tourism Awards presented on the evening of 20 April.
WTM Africa 2017 runs from 19-21 April at the Cape Town International Convention Center. Safari365 is attending so watch our social media channels for updates. Click here for more information on the expo.
