Lonely Planet Places Botswana At Top Of Best Places To Visit List
Botswana has swooped to the top of Lonely Planet’s Best In Travel 2016 list this year, beating Japan and USA.
The timing couldn’t be more perfect. Next year the land-locked elephant haven will celebrate 50 years of independence. Adding to the fact that in 2014 it’s world famous Okavango Delta became UNESCO’s 1000th World Heritage Site.
I for one won’t argue. Having been there recently, I can see why. The rare combination of Bots’ desert and delta, as well as all of its eco-efforts, makes it a fine choice for travelers the world over.
