Bill Clinton in Tanzania will make your heart melt

Bill Clinton in Tanzania

Former US president, Bill Clinton, was seen smiling ear-to-ear on a recent journey in Tanzania. The charismatic Big Dog (as the media affectionately calls him these days) is no doubt a major fan of Mama Africa’s iconic destinations.

The trip marked his 12th visit to Africa and included stops in Kenya, Liberia and Morocco and forms part of his annual foundation trip abroad.  The spirit of Ubuntu has no doubt rubbed off on him. The photos he posted on his Twitter say a thousand words.

Bill’s Africa entourage included donors and big campaign fundraisers. The 9-day trip saw them jet setting to the town of Karatu (where they visited the Solar Sister site where women receive training and micro-financing) and Arusha for a humble evening at Shanga River House who empower people with disabilities through art.

After the event the kind folks from Shanga posted the following on their Facebook.

Sources suggest his philanthropic excursions are rather exclusive, by invite only and coveted by many. What can we say? A trip to Tanzania with Bill Clinton and helping the world to be a better place? Sounds like an adventure to us.
