Tourism Conservation Fund
Safari365 are proud supporters of the Tourism Conservation Fund which is a non-profit company established by the Peace Parks Foundation and Southern Africa Tourism Services Association in May 2018.. The Tourism Conservation recognises the importance of preserving South Africa's wildlife and has the goal of protecting and promoting the biodiversity of South Africa's conservation areas.
The fund aims to do this by using the Inclusive Business Lineage Fund to build a more inclusive wildlife economy. By investing in communities adjacent to the conservation areas, many which have been historically excluded from economic development, the Tourism Conservation Fund will be able to create sustainable businesses and jobs which are rooted in the wildlife-tourism economy .
Safari365, in tandem with the TravelSmartCrew, regularly donate funds that directly support the Ginindsa Beauty College and Spa Initiative. The Tourism Conservation Fund share that, "Every cent of the donation will be used to finance the training stipends for young women from the Bushbuckridge community in Mpumalanga who lack the means to acquire certified training in Spa and Wellness management, for which there is a strong demand across the local lodge economy. Once employed, graduates will repay the cost of their stipend, thereby ensuring resources are available for new trainees each year."
