Cape Town and Kruger Combination Safari
Two of South Africa’s top attractions: Spend 5 days exploring Cape Town, followed by 3 days of safari bliss at the game-rich Kruger National Park.
DAY 1 – 5: CAPE TOWN
Collect your rental car at the Cape Town International Airport and drive to your hotel, for the beginning of your sensational trip to Cape Town.
With your own rental car at your disposal, Cape Town is yours to explore, and with so much on offer, you’ll never be at a loss for things to see and do.
On top of your list should be a visit up to the top of Table Mountain, one of the most famous natural landmarks in Africa. The view from the top of Table Mountain is an impressive one - the glittering ocean, nearby Robben Island, and the rugged mountain tops of the Table Mountain National Park. Trips to the Two Oceans Aquarium, Robben Island, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and the Malay Quarter will ensure you’re never without something to do...or you could simply choose to laze away the day on one of the golden Atlantic Seaboard beaches.
With 5 days in Cape Town, you will have the option to visit the scenic Cape Winelands towns of Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Paarl. Set amidst lush vineyards and majestic mountains, the Cape Winelands is the largest wine producing region in South Africa. On wine tours Cape Town, explore the original cellars – dating back to the first farmers in the Cape – where you will be able to sample some of the world’s finest wines and learn about the intricate processes used to produce them.
DAY 5 – 8: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Drop your rental car at Cape Town International and catch your connecting flight onwards to Kruger Airport for your safari in the world famous Kruger National Park. Upon arrival a Safari365 representative will meet you and transfer you the short distance to your Kruger Park safari lodge.
As South Africa’s largest and most renowned game reserve, the Kruger National Park is home to a wide variety of wildlife and true big 5 safari experiences, offering open 4x4 safari vehicle accompanied by an experienced guide.
Your three days of Kruger safari will soon take on a beautiful regular bush cycle: starting off an early morning game drive with excellent sightings, hearty breakfasts, lazy lunches, afternoon siestas, and evening sundowners on a night safari before dinner under the stars with some fine South African wine.
Day 8: Departure
Following four days of Kruger Park safari bliss, you will be transferred to the landing strip to catch your flight back to Johannesburg, concluding your Cape Town and Kruger tour.
• Three days is generally the optimum time on a Kruger safari, although this can be shortened or lengthened at your request.
• Direct flights are available daily between Cape Town and Kruger. More affordable (but longer) flight routings are available via Johannesburg.
• Return flights can be arranged to Cape Town or Johannesburg ( depending on your necessary flight connections)
The below accommodation reflects each different price level of tour chosen. Safari365 has the ability to fully-tailor make your itinerary, and accommodation can be customised to your exact requirements.
